During this 50th anniversary year, our alumni gave in many ways: anniversary individual gifts, class gifts, association gifts – each gift has enabled INSEAD to continue innovating, investing in talented people and advancing knowledge on global business.
Also as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, the INSEAD Alumni Association (IAA) launched an unprecedented initiative to address the school’s critical need for scholarship funds by establishing the INSEAD Alumni Association (IAA) Scholarship Fund. Led by President Daniel Labrecque, MBA’81, INSEAD Alumni Fund Chairman Rolf Abdon, MBA’70, and former Dean Claude Rameau, MBA’62, the IAA kicked off the fund drive by making a gift of €50,000. Individual alumni and national alumni associations responded enthusiastically by contributing gifts of €50,000 each to the fund and becoming its co-founders. The collective generosity brought the fund total, in gifts and pledges, to €2.8 million, exceeding the initial goal of €2.5 million.
With a final total of €10.5M, the year 2009/2010 was outstanding in terms of alumni giving. Here are some numbers for the academic year 2009/10:
- 48 new Salamander holders
- 2,374 alumni donors
- 90 nationalities represented amongst the donors
Our thanks go out to all alumni for your generous and much-needed support in the advancement of INSEAD. |
